Ms. Joyce Ann Jones, age 70, departed this life, Friday March 10, 2023, at Community Hospice.
The native of Statesboro was the seventh of ten children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus and Willie Lou Smith Jones.
She was formerly educated in the Bulloch County School System and a graduate of the William James High School Class of 1970.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined First African Baptist Church of Statesboro, GA. She was a former employee of Stiles Inn, Statesboro Herald, Statesboro Inn, Trellis Garden Inn, and Days Inn.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Willie James Jones, and Bobby Jones.
She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories, sons Mr. Gregory Jones of Statesboro, GA, Mr. Frank Reed (Jeanna) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Mr. Maurice Jones (Candace Stark) of Clarksville, Tennessee; a daughter Lekeisha Williams of Atlanta, GA; seven siblings, Rufus Jones, Jr., of Statesboro, GA, Mae Wells of Portal GA, Margaret (James) Spivey of Statesboro, GA, Leroy Jones of Statesboro, GA, Bishop Larry (Pastor Gwen) Jones of Statesboro, GA, Jerry (Katrina) Jones of Statesboro, GA and Patricia (Eddie) Eason of Statesboro, GA; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Family visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 20223, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Ms. Joyce Ann Jones, will be held 11 am, Saturday March 18, 2023, at the Whitesville Full Gospel Worship Center, Bishop Larry and Pastor Gwendolyn Jones, Pastors, and the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
