John Edward Pearsall, the eldest child of five, was born March 12, 1929, to the late Arthur and Minnie White Pearsall, in Pulaski Georgia.
At an early age he moved to Florida to better his life and there he met the love of his life Ethel Lee Peterman. To this union eight children were born. John loved his family.
Years later he and his family moved to Hempstead, New York to begin his work career for the City of Hempstead, New York. He retired after 32 years when his health began to fail.
In 2002 he decided he wanted to return to his home in Statesboro, Georgia.
His hobbies were growing vegetables, flowers, fishing, and cooking.
On Thursday May 25, 2023, he entered rest at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lee Pearsall, his daughters, Flora Stanley and Varlenia Pearsall; his brother, David Pearsall, his sisters, Gladys Pearsall and Agnes Pearsall; his grandchildren, Jamila Lewis, Marquis Pearsall, and Donald Pearsall.
During the last four years of his life, John resided with his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn, and Richard Fields. He was always talking about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories and love, his children, John (Amie) Pearsall, Paul (Theresa) Pearsall, Alvonne (Marie) Pearsall, Carolyn (Richard) fields, Minnie Pearsall and Rose Ann Jackson; a sister, Bertha Mikell, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Pearsall, will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from the hours of 4 pm to 7 pm, at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. John Edward Pearsall, will be held 11 am, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Lakeside First Baptist Church, Metter Georgia, with Pastor Lisa Deloach, officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
