Mr. James Franklin “Smitty” Smith, age 59, departed this life, Friday, January 27, 20223, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
He was the son of the late John and Thelma Smith.
The native of Brooklet, received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the Southeast Bulloch High School class of 1981. He worked in the automotive field for many years and was a member of the Jerusalem A.M.E. Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lanier and a brother, Van Smith.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving children, Jamese L. Smith and Brandon Clifton; two sisters, Barbara Ann Smith and Deloris (Larry) Smart; two brothers, Amos (Beverly) Smith and Lawrence Smith, all of Brooklet, GA; a special aunt, Mae Liza Smith and Brantley Johnson; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Smith, will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Hill’s Mortuary.
The funeral service for Mr. James F. (Smitty) Smith, will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 20223 at the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. Theodore Valcourt, officiating. Burial will be in the Jerusalem A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
