
Mr. Hollis Ray Tremble, passed into eternal rest on Thursday evening, January 12, 2023, at Memorial Medical University Heart and Vascular Center, Savannah, Georgia after an extended illness.
He was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Mt. Zion AME Church.
Mr. Tremble was a former employee of Georgia Power, ITT Grinnell and the Bulloch County Detention Center all before venturing out, to become owner and operator of Tremble’s Backhoe and Septic Tank Services. He was a 1967 graduate of William James High School.
He is survived by his wife, Pennye P. Tremble, Statesboro; a daughter, Twyla Joy Tremble, Hinesville, GA; three sons, Germaine “Pappy” Tremble (Felecia), Atlanta, GA, Alexander Canty, Huntsville, AL and Renaid Canty (Michelle), Statesboro; a step-son, Jay Gatsby Ponder (Mindy) Cincinnati, OH; four sisters, Denise Mikell, Washington, DC, Veronica Smalls, Atlanta, GA, Blanche Moore and Wanda D. Davis (Jerome) both of Statesboro; three brothers, Pete Tremble (Bennie), Savannah, GA, Leon Lonon ( Aleandria) and Ronnie Lonon both of Statesboro; special cousins, Leo Young and Almeter Young both of Statesboro; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of life for Mr. Tremble will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Original First African Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Shelia Smith, eulogist and Reverend Raphalea Smith, presiding. The Reverend Christopher Culberth is the pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery.
A walk through visitation of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 1:00 til 5: 00 p.m. at the funeral home.
