Hershel Craig Kennedy, age 61, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Augusta University Hospital. The Bulloch County native was a member of The Southeast Bulloch High School Class of 1979. He was a master carpenter for many years until he retired and became “the Best PaPa Ever” to Haley and Jacie.
When Craig wasn’t spending time with his children, who he adored, you could find him fishing or enjoying the company of his friends.
If someone was in need, Craig did not hesitate to help them out in any way that they needed. He will be deeply missed by his family and all the people that he blessed in one way or another over the years. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Queen Clark Kennedy and Hershel Lee Kennedy.
Surviving or his daughter and son, Kristy Kennedy and her fiance’, Clint Nesbitt and Matthew and Jennay Kennedy; his grandchildren, Haley and Jacie Kennedy; his former wife, Sandy Reed Kennedy; two brothers, Neal Thorne (Shannon) and Mike Kennedy; his cousins, Mark, Clark, and Jan Kennedy; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Rodney.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Inurnment will be at Brooklet City Cemetery at a later date.
