Mrs. Elvera Carroll Shellman, age 79 made her transition from labor to reward on Sunday morning while an inpatient at Good Shepard Hospice Facility in Lakeland, FL. She was a native of Chatham County and was a graduate of Beach High School Class of 1962. She spent most her adult life in Bryan County, was employed as a CAN many years and was a member Cypress Bay Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Geoffrey Carrion (Stephanie) Winter Haven, FL; grand children, Amontaae Carrion, Alliyah Carrion, Anayya Carrion, Allijah Carrion all of Winter Haven, FL and Christopher Carrion, Woodbine, GA; two sisters-in-law, Linda Bellamy and Shirley Crawford both of Pembroke; a brother-in-law Wallace Shellman, Midway, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Shellman will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Cypress Bay Baptist Church, Lanier, GA with Reverend Earl Herman, eulogist. Interment will be in Steven Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
