January 11, 1941 - December 22, 2023 - Brooklet, GA - Mr. Edward (ED) Lacount Donaldson, age 82, died on Friday, December 22, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Ed was born on January 11, 1941, in Register, GA to Charlie and Kate Donaldson. The family moved to Miami, FL where Ed was raised and later met his wife, Judith Morgan Donaldson. The couple later moved back to Bulloch County and resided in Brooklet, GA until his death.
Ed worked at Statesboro Coca-Cola for many years and then he worked at Cooper Wiss until they closed. Ed loved fishing, hunting, and looked forward to family fish fries.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Judy, and a brother Ned Donaldson.
He is survived by five children, Eddie Donaldson, Bill (Terri) Donaldson, Sherri (David) Donaldson, Ric (Michelle) Donaldson and Lori (Joe) Parsons. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Wallace of Miami, FL, fifteen grandchildren and many great grands, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
