Ms. Edna Marie Mikell Davis, age 63, entered rest Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility.
The daughter of the late Raymond “Boy” and Edna Florence Mikell, received her formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County, Georgia and was a graduate of the Statesboro High School class of 1978.
Ms. Davis worked as a nurse’s aide and was a former employee of Pineland Mental Health where she worked as a house parent.
She was a member of the Agape Worship Center.
In addition to my parents, she is preceded in death by my amazing daughter Ferlisher Marie Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children, James (Ahesha) E Davis Jr. and Latasha (Travis) Burns both of Statesboro, GA; her grandchildren, Jamil (Dulce) Dollarson and Jamarie M Davis both of Oklahoma City, Traveyon Burns, Joseph Burns, Nycorian Roberts, Nyshaun Roberts, JaBria Seawright, Ahmarie Davis and Jamyron Davis all of Statesboro, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday evening, August 25, 2023, from 5pm to 7 pm, at the funeral home.
The funeral service for Ms. Edna Marie M. Davis, will be held, 3 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Agape Worship Center, with the pastor, Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Portal, Georgia.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
