Mrs. Earlene Lemon Bell Wallace, age 85, passed into rest, Sunday December 18, 2022, at Pruitt Health in Swainsboro, Georgia.
The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late Henry “Sherney” and Minnie Lee McNair Lemon.
She received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Henry Lamar Alston; three brothers, Remer, Vernon and James Lemon; two sisters, Rosa Lee Davis and Eloise Lemon.
She leaves to cherish her memories, five sisters, Sue Bryant (Carver), Burtonsville, MD, Frances Bell-Herington (Frank), Statesboro, GA, Vera Matzkanin, Flagstaff, AZ, Debra Bacon (Charles), Register, GA and Phyllis Lemon-Bell (Joseph), Statesboro, GA; one son, Gregory Wallace (Chiquita). Register, GA; one sister, Dorothy Gordon, Statesboro, GA; 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, a special friend of family, Bobby Jones; a dear friend, Alzena McGrady; a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mrs. Wallace will be held, Monday, December 26,2022, from 4 p.m.to 7 p.m., at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
Mrs. Wallace will lie in state on the day of service from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
The funeral service for Mrs. Earlene Lemon Bell Wallace, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with the pastor, Elder Gary Wallace, officiating. Burial will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
