Dallas Ogle Taylor, born on August 3, 1953, and departed this life on February 24, 2025, at his residence in Portal, Georgia, after an extended illness. He was under the compassionate care of Regency Southern Care Hospice during his final days.
Throughout his life, Dallas exemplified dedication and hard work, having spent many years employed with Wal-Mart. His commitment to his career was matched only by his passion for the things he loved. A true automobile enthusiast, Dallas found joy in anything related to cars, and this interest brought him great satisfaction and connection with those who shared similar passions.
Dallas leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Darlene Taylor; his children: Lacy Taylor, Dallas Taylor, Jr., Laura Barrs, Jennifer Klingaman, and Suzanne Locklear; as well as daughters-in-law Sara Taylor and Kelly Taylor. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, including Brandon Taylor, Kaleb Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Bryce Crocker, Ava Able, and Dallas Rose Taylor, along with his grandson, Devon Locklear.
Dallas also is remembered by his brother Michael Taylor and sister-in-law Carol Taylor, who together will carry forward the memories of a beloved brother and family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy Taylor and Hazel Taylor, and by four siblings: brothers Danny Taylor, Dedrick Taylor, and Charlie Taylor, and sister JoAnn Taylor. Their loving spirits will welcome him, and together they reunite as a family once more.
Dallas Ogle Taylor will be deeply missed, but his warmth, humor, and passion for cars will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A private Memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
