He was currently a second-grade student at Claxton Elementary School.
Cody was a youtuber and loved wrestling with his brother Corey, which he had a mean headlock. His favorite superhero was Spiderman.
He will forever be remembered as a happy, fun, adventurous child who loved church and the Lord.
He was a member of the Total Victory of Deliverance Church, Statesboro, Georgia.
He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Charles Minis, Jo Ann (Bennie) Kangeter and Daniel (Mary) Hollingsworth, a great aunt, Robin Fountain and great uncles, Chuck Minis and Danny Hollingsworth.
Cody leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Hali Minis, Statesboro, Ga., his father, Trey Whitfield, South Carolina; his siblings, CJ Stewart and Ava Minis and Corey Minis, all of Statesboro, Georgia. His maternal grandparents, Trent (Dena) Minis, Sr., Ellabell, Ga., and Debbie (Carl) Minis, Claxton, Ga., aunts and uncles, Trent Minis, Jr., Washington, Amanda (Stephen) Padgett and Jonathan Minis, Ellabell, Ga; great aunts and great uncles, Amanda (Robbie) Daniels, Travis (Tammy) Minis, Brian Fountain, and Timothy Hollingsworth. A host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 3 p.m. until 5 pm, at the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc., followed by a graveside service and burial to be held at the Eldora Church Cemetery, Stilson, Georgia, with Pastor Terrance Jackson, officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
