LOCUST GROVE, GA: Cleveland Lee, Sr., age 77 passed into eternal rest at his residence in Locust Grove, Georgia on Saturday October 22, 2022. He was a native of Bulloch County and resided in Newark, New Jersey some forty plus years before returning to Statesboro. He attended the public schools of Bulloch County and was last employed by Bulloch Fertilizer.
He is survived by his children, Debra Patrick (Carlos), Forrest Park, GA, Sandra Herrington (Kennal), Jonesboro, GA, Julie Ann Lee, Statesboro and Cleveland Lee, Jr., (Shelia), Stockbridge, GA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his siblings, Reverend Unita Ponder (Reverend William), Mary Alice Brown (Clinton), Earl Lee (Katherine, Albert Walden and Willie Walden all of Statesboro, Evangelist Rosaland King (Joe), Twin City, Dorothy Cummings, Vidalia, Leveland Lee (Lou Ann and Solomon Lee (Beverly) both of Atlanta and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Lee will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Unita Ponder, eulogist and Reverend Linda McRae, presiding. The Reverend Morris Reddick is the pastor. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
A walk through visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
