Cheryl Hopkinson Lupinski

Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Hopkinson Lupinski, 61, passed away at Memorial Health University Medical Center on Sunday, April 16, 2023 in the presence of her loving family.

Cheryl was born in Richfield Springs in New York state and grew up nearby in Van Hornesville. She graduated from the Owen D. Young Central School. She attended the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Florida and studying accounting. She was employed with Commercial Travelers Insurance and later the Hartford Group as an accountant until her health would not permit. She was very crafty, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and baking.

She cherished spending time with her husband, whether it be riding their motorcycle, vacationing at the beach, camping, or just sitting by a fire. She was a collector of moose trinkets.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Seaman, brother, Robert Hailston, Jr., and granddaughter, Gabby Hopkinson.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Brian Lupinski of Sylvania, GA, sons, Richard “Richie” (De’Anna) Hopkinson of Utica, NY, and George (Heather) Hopkinson of Sylvania, a daughter, Naomi Bartlett of Sylvania, her father, Robert Hailston of Bloomville,NY, her grandchildren, Isabella Hopkinson, Briella Hopkinson, Alexis Hopkinson, Emma Hopkinson, Grayson Hopkinson, siblings, Anne (John) Siriani of Orlando, FL, David and Heiki Perry of Germany, Richard (Sheila) Perry of Madison, AL, Larry Hardy of Binghamton, NY, Tish Hardy of Washington, NH, Lonnie Hardy of Manheim Center, NY, and her former sister-in-law, Christiana Blain, and her children, Brittany Perry and Crystyl Myrick.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Sylvania, GA.
