Mr. Charlton A. Engles, age 64, entered rest, Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Southland Healthcare and Rehab Center.
He was born February 21, 1959, in Manhattan, New York, to the late Clifton and Jeanne Engles.
Mr. Engles was a former postal worker for Georgia Southern College (now University) until his health failed.
He was affectionately known as Andre' to his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Brenda Engles, Portal, Ga, his two daughters, Tineshya Engles, Brooklyn, NY and Cashmere Engles, Statesboro, GA; four sons, Maurice Harvey (Tiffany), Charlotte, NC, Reginald Ellison, Metter, Ga, Tremayne Ellison, Charlton Andre’ Engles, Jr. and Xavier (Latrease) Engles, all of Statesboro, Ga; four brothers, Gary (Joyce) Engles, Sumter, Sc, Clifton Engles, Statesboro, Ga, Stephen (Toni) Engles, Manhattan, Ny and Carl Mitchell, Virginia; his mother-in-law, Thelma Ellison, sisters-in-law, Wendedell (Ricky) Linder, Sherry (Greg) Bynes, Velma Mosley, Pastor Lisa (Elder Chris) Deloach and Judy (Randy) Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert (Patronell) Ellison, James (Karen) Linder, John Willie Canty, Jr., (Willie Bee) and Semmie Scott (Tasha); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing for Mr. Engles, will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Charlton A. Engles, will be held 3:30 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. with Pastor Lisa Deloach, Officiating
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
