Ms. Katherine Miller age 82, passed into eternal rest on Monday morning, July 17, 2023 at Grady Hospital, Atlanta, GA. she was a native of Screven County, Georgia where she received her formative education and was a 1958 graduate of Central High School, Sylvania, Georgia. She later matriculated at Savannah State College receiving a BS in English. She was an educator having taught at several schools in Screven and the surrounding counties. She was a former member Elm Street Church of God.
She is survived by a brother Reverend W. Albert Miller (Dorothy) Timmonsville, SC; a sister, Reverend Carolyn Miller, Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Miller will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Ogeechee Church of God, 1755 Jink Hill Road, Sylvania, GA 30467, with Pastor Jerry Humphries, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Miller will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
A public viewing will be held on Friday evening, July 21, 2023 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
