Mrs. Carolyn R. Wells, age 79, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Savannah, GA and moved to Ellabell, GA in 1979.
Mrs. Wells enjoyed cooking, bluegrass music, and putting puzzles together. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Wells.
Survivors include her children, Robert Andrew Wells (Judy Johnson) of Midway, Raleigh Thomas (Rebecca) Wells of Ellabell, GA, John Wayne (Kitty) Wells of Ellabell, GA, Matthew Shane (Erica) Wells of Statesboro, GA; twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her sisters, Sue Long of Pooler, Quinell Elmer of Stockbridge, GA, Nancy Sosiet of Lilburn, GA; her brother, Burnell Raburn of Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday January 10, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Deal Funeral Directors.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors with Elder Lee Chambers officiating.
Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assocation.
