Mrs. Becky Mosley Washington Mozee, age 64, entered rest Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her residence after a long illness, surrounded by her loved ones.
The native of Bulloch County Georgia was raised in the Portal community and was the daughter of the late Silas Mosley and Corrine “Annie” Williams Moseley.
She received her education in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a graduate of Albany State University.
Becky worked in the health care profession for over forty years. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Candler County Hospital for thirty-five years.
Becky had a great love for cooking and hosting family gatherings during the holidays. Her grandkids were everything to her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-four years, James Ronnie Washington, Sr., a son, James R. Washington, Jr., her father, Silas Mosley, three brothers, Carl Mosley, Glenn Mosley, and James Mosley: two sisters, Judy Mosley, and Angel Mosley.
Those left to cherish her memories are, her husband, Fred Mozee; her children, Ronnie (Kali) Washington and Becky (Ivory) Hunter, both of Statesboro, GA, and Jamir Washington, Portal, GA; grandchildren, Kendall Washington, Emilie Washington, Xavier Washington, Kayden Hunter and Hillary Hunter; step children, Harvey (Peggy) Washington, Antonio (Monica) Jones, Calvin Jones and Christina (Kimberly) Moffett; her mother, Corrine “Annie” W. Mosley Jones, Portal, GA; her siblings, Nancy Royals, Statesboro, GA, Mattie (Ronald) Cail, Rocky Ford, GA, Mary Ann Mosley, Boston, Mass, Annette (Samuel) Wiggins, Portal, GA, Roy (Willie Mae) Mosley, Metter, GA, Kenneth (Keyshia) Mosley, Statesboro, GA, Randy (Mamie) Mosley, Millen, GA, and Gerald Mosley, Portal, GA; aunts and uncles, Louise Mosley, Mariette Burrows, Elizabeth Patterson, Blondie Williams, Sissy Williams, Brenda Williams, Tiny Williams and Geraldine Williams; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, five god children, a host of other relatives, and friends.
A viewing for Mrs. Mozee, will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4 P.M. to & P..M., at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mrs. Mozee, will be held, at 11 A.M., Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Parrish Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Chad Wiggins, pastor and the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary Inc.
