Mr. Alfred Russ, affectionately known as "Boo," was born to the union of Mr. Mizell and Katie Mae Maples Russ, on November 5, 1958, in Quincey, Florida.
He attended the public schools of Fort Meyers, Florida and was a graduate of the Riverdale High School.
Mr. Russ enjoyed a bachelor’s lifestyle and was never married. In his spare time, Boo enjoyed helping operate a booth at the local flea market. He also loved spending quality time with his family, volunteering his time helping others in the community and riding his bicycle.
On Thursday, December 22, 2022, Alfred Russ passed into rest, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. “Boo” is proceeded in death by his parents, Mizell and Katie Mae Russ and a brother, Glendale Russ.
Those left to cherish his memories are, Gloria (James) Dumas, Lehigh Acres, FL, Mozell Russ, Fort Myers, FL, Margarett (Haywood) Thomas, Statesboro, GA, Donald Russ, Alva, FL, Monzell Russ, Tallahassee, FL, Carolynn Russ Francis, Midway, FL and Bobby Hodges, Orlando, FL, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Russ will lie in state on the day of service for viewing, from the hours of 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the service.
The funeral service for Mr. Russ, will be held, 2 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2022, at the Ben Samuel hill Memorial Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
