October 13, 1925 - March 21, 2024
A man of faith and family, Aaron Sylvester “Buster” Cone answered the Lord’s call on Thursday afternoon March 21, 2024, at home surrounded by his affectionate family.
Aaron was born October 13, 1925, in Brooklet, Georgia to the late Abraham Hartridge and Beulah Mae Cone. He was the twelfth child of fifteen siblings. He was a devoted and hard-working son.
Aaron was educated in Bulloch County where he and his loving wife attended Adult Education classes at night to receive their high school diplomas.
He retired from Ductile Iron Company in Savannah, GA. He was a member of Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife; Jessie Mae Cone, three sons; John Henry Cone, Jessie Coppock, and Willie Raymond, five brothers; Lonnie Brown, Abraham Cone, A.J. Cone, Lloyd Cone, and Homer (Bubba) Cone, eight sisters; Irene White, Curlie Mae Daughtry, Mary Strickland, Martha Clark, Annie Bell Young, Audrey Mae Jones, Lorene Coppock, and Beatrice Dismuke.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Aaron Cone, Jr. and Albert Cone, both of Brooklet, GA; a sister, Minnie Bell Moore, Livonia, MI; eighteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A walk-through viewing for Mr. Aaron "Buster" Cone, will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. Cone, will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, with the Elder Paul Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
