Bulloch County Animal Services held its "Valentine's Day Party" on Saturday, February 10, from 12-3pm. The event included Photo opps, pet adoptions, $10 microchips, renovation updates to the facility, and so much more.

According to Bulloch County Animal Services, 7 total animals were adopted from the event (with the first 2 animals being adopted within the first 15 minutes!).

"We have been trying to hold more adoption events and opportunities for the community to attend. This Valentine's Day party was one of those community events to get our adoptable animals in front of the community. So far, we've had two dogs be adopted within the first 15 minutes of the event. So that now opens up 2 more cages for us here at the facility," stated Barbara Diaz, Director at Bulloch County Animal Services.

"We've also had several animals here to be microchipped today. And another highlight of this event today is showing off the current renovations to the facility. We had a freelance artist do the artwork for our adoption room and now have several new pieces of furniture thanks to several local organizations. Overall, it's been a wonderful event with tons of community support," Amanda Anderson, Shelter Supervisor, shared.
