Twelve Georgia Southern (GS) football players have been selected for the Sun Belt Conference's all-conference teams.

Senior offensive lineman Khalil Crowder, receiver Khaleb Hood and linebacker Marques Watson-Trent were all chosen for All-Sun Belt Conference second team.

For Crowder, it's his second All-Sun Belt honor in his career as he made the third team last season.

Hood was named honorable mention last season and it's the first all-conference honor for Watson-Trent.

GS players named to the third team include:

  • Junior defensive back Derrick Canteen
  • Senior defensive lineman Justin Ellis
  • Senior offensive lineman Caleb Kelly
  • Senior quarterback Kyle Vantrease
  • Junior running back Jalen White

Four Eagles earned honorable mention recognition, including:

  • Sophomore receiver Derwin Burgess Jr.
  • Junior kicker Alex Raynor
  • Senior receiver Jeremy Singleton
  • Junior defensive back Anthony Wilson

The first, second and third teams are compromised of 12 offensive players, 12 defensive players and four special team players, unless there are ties.

Candidates are selected by conference coaches and a member of the media representing each team who vote for the teams with points assigned for rankings for each position.
