A four-year-old male is deceased as a result of a gunshot to the head, according to Statesboro Police Chief Mike Broadhead.
The incident occurred at The Hamptons Apartments in Statesboro on Thursday evening, May 29. There were several people in the apartment when the shooting occurred, and the incident was contained to that apartment.
Individuals at the residence are being questioned by SPD detectives at this time. The child was transported by the Bulloch County Emergency Medical Service to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury.
