Four adults were injured on Halloween when a vehicle crashed into a golf cart pulling a trailer on Country Club Road near Founders Way outside of Statesboro.
Bulloch County 911 dispatched Bulloch County EMS, Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies and Georgia State Patrol Troopers to the crash at 7:24 PM on October, 31, 2023.
The first deputies who arrived on the scene confirmed multiple victims with serious injuries. Paramedics with Bulloch County EMS requested two additional ambulances to the scene and two medical helicopters.
Bulloch EMS transported two adult crash victims to EGRMC and two more crash victims were transported to the Air Evac medical helicopter base located at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Grounds. One adult was flown by Air Evac to the trauma center in Augusta. The second adult was flown from the Air Evac base by LifeStar to the trauma center at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. The condition of the four crash victims is unknown at this time.
According to GSP Post 45 Corporal Zach Parker a golf cart was pulling a trailer southwest on Country Club road with nine total occupants. The trailer had no lights on it. A vehicle approached the golf cart and trailer and struck the left rear side of the trailer causing the trailer and the golf cart to overturn.
There were four adults riding in the golf cart and one adult and four juveniles riding in the trailer when it was struck by the car. In addition to the four adults transported by EMS there was one adult and four juveniles treated for minor injuries and were not transported by EMS.
The occupants of the car were not injured.
GSP Post 45 Trooper Tyler Pettee is handling the crash investigation for GSP.
County Club Road was closed for over an hour while emergency crews worked the scene and GSP troopers investigated the crash.
