Make sure you are prepared for a night at the Averitt Center

Another exciting performance is just around the corner at The Averitt Center for the Arts! Before the curtain rises, here’s everything guests need to know to make their visit smooth, stress-free, and full of fun.

Parking

Located right in the heart of downtown Statesboro at 33 East Main Street, the Averitt Center doesn't have private guest parking. But no worries—there are four public parking lots close by! Two lots are on East Main Street, just a short stroll from the theater. Another option is near the Roxie Remley Center for Fine Arts on East Vine Street (31 E Vine St.), and a larger public lot is available at the corner of West Main and North/South College Street. All parking is free and has sidewalks and crosswalks for safe and easy access.

Concessions

During most shows, guests can grab snacks and drinks from the concession stand inside the Emma Kelly Theater. Expect tasty Cork’s popcorn and classic Coke products, with occasional bonus treats. Payment is accepted via cash, credit, or debit.

What to Bring

  • Tickets (either printed or digital)
  • A cozy jacket (the theater tends to run cool)
  • Reading glasses (especially helpful for reading show programs at dance or theater performances)

Before the Show

  • Arrive early to get settled
  • Use the restroom beforehand
  • Silence all phones and smart devices
  • Visit concessions for a snack
  • Pick up a program if available

The team at the Averitt Center looks forward to welcoming guests for an unforgettable show experience!

The Malpass Brothers are scheduled for Friday, August 15, at 7:30pm. They'll make for a great introduction to entertainment at the Averitt if you've never been.

These two talented brothers promote the work and music of classic country artists they treasure while creating new music and making their own mark in the lineage of a rich American cultural heritage. With sincerity, honesty and an utter ease on stage that belies their years, their smooth vocal blend and skillful musicianship layer infectiously into the deep respect they pay to legends who have paved the way.

Add the funny, off-the-cuff quips between the two 20-something siblings, and the engaging concert becomes a magnetic time-traveling journey to when a calmer rhythm reigned supreme.
