CarePortal has launched in Bulloch County

The Bulloch County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Choices of the Heart, and Foundations Resource Center all have access to CarePortal to create requests for families in need.

As of Tuesday, September 26, 2023, CarePortal was successfully launched in Statesboro. This means churches from in and around Bulloch County will be able to respond to specific needs requested from DFACS and other agencies within our community.

“I’m so excited to report that CarePortal launched in Bulloch County,” Caroline Johnson, FAM Specialist of Promise 686, says.

The event was held at Three Tree Coffee Roasters and went very well. The hope is to meet the needs of members of our community through a collective, response team approach.

The Bulloch County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Choices of the Heart, and Foundations Resource Center all have access to CarePortal to create requests for families in need. Since its launch in March in Chatham County, CarePortal has served over 55 children with an economic impact of over $34,000.

Southbridge Community Church, Bible Baptist Church, New Hope Hubert United Methodist Church, Crossroads Community Church, Friendship Baptist Church, and Bethel Missionary Church are a few of the local churches that will be responding to the needs input by DFCS, Choices of the Heart, and Foundations Resource Center.
