The City of Brooklet has announced two public hearings to review and discuss its proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026, which will run from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
Community members will have opportunities to voice their opinions and ask questions about the city's financial plans during public hearings scheduled for June 5, 2025, at 6:00 pm and June 19, 2025, at 6:30 pm. Both meetings will take place in the Brooklet City Hall Chambers at 104 Church Street.
During these sessions, the City Manager, Mayor, and City Council will accept both written and oral comments regarding the Annual Operating and Capital Budget. The hearings provide residents with a direct opportunity to engage with city leadership about spending priorities and budget allocations that will affect the community in the coming fiscal year.
Budget Available for Public Review
The FY26 Recommended Budget will be made available for public inspection starting Friday, May 30, 2025. Residents can review the budget document during normal business hours at Brooklet City Hall or access it online at www.cityofbrooklet.org. Physical copies will also be provided upon request for those who prefer hard copies.
The public review period allows citizens to examine the proposed budget in detail before attending the hearings, enabling more informed participation in the budget process.
Final Adoption Meeting
Following the public input sessions, the City of Brooklet's manager, mayor, and council are scheduled to formally adopt the FY26 Budget during their regular monthly meeting on June 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This meeting will also be held in the City Hall Chambers at 104 Church Street Brooklet, GA.
