Five Bulloch events this weekend: There's something for everyone

This weekend in Statesboro- Bulloch County is full of events to check out! From things to do with the family to local sports games to small craft groups, there really is something for everyone this weekend!

November has arrived! The the leaves are changing, the smell of pumpkin spice is everywhere and we can finally walk from our cars to our front doors without sweating. 

I compiled a short list from the Grice Connect Events Calendar  to bring attention to a few events and activities happening this weekend for all types of interests and age groups. Don't forget this list is only a fraction of what you may find on our Events Calendar! Weekly Yin Yoga Classes 

Looking for a relaxing start to our first weekend in November? Stop by Zen'Ergy Holistic Yoga & Metaphysicals Friday at 5:30 pm at their Brampton Ave studio for Yin Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax at the beginning of the weekend. It helps reduce stress, focus energy and improve flexibility so you can make the most of your weekend. Mats are provided at Zen'Ergy but you are allowed to bring your own mat if you prefer. This is a recurring event happening every Monday and Friday at 5:30 pm. Drop ins are $15. If you can't make it to Friday nights, Saturday classes are available.

 

 

Tournament of Champions: Mario Kart 

If you are looking for a friendly competition this weekend, check out Tournament of Champions: Mario Kart and Smash Bros for the Wii. Taking place at the Honey Bowen Building Friday from 6:00 pm - 8 pm, this family event is sure to be a great time. Division brackets are based on age (8+ only): 8-12,13-17 and 18+. It is $10 to participate which also includes pizza. 

 

 

Georgia Southern University Volleyball vs Appalachian State 

For sports fans, there are a few different options happening this weekend. Support the Georgia Southern Volleyball team as they play Appalachian State at Hanner Fieldhouse Friday (11/3) for game 1 and Saturday (11/4) for game 2.  Friday's game is 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday's game is 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. . Youth are $6 and adults are $8. Don't forget Hanner Fieldhouse has a clear bag policy. 

 

 

 

 

RTK Farms Corn Maze

RTK Farms Corn Maze is a great way to get your fall fix. With a 7 acre corn maze, zip lining, and a country store, there really is something for everyone here. The Country store sells jams, jellies, cookies, boiled peanuts and more. The perfect place to have fun and take something yummy home for later. RTK farms is found in Pembroke at 402 Starling Road. Admission is $15 with children 3 and under free. 

 

 

Statesboro Stitches Community Crochet 

Any yarn lovers out there? Join the Statesboro Stitches Community at the Statesboro-Bulloch County Library Saturday at 10:00 am for knitting and crochet! Every crafters dream is to be surrounded by more crafters! Give yourself a change to ask for help if you need it and get to know other knitters in your area! The group meets in the adult seating area. Bring your needles and yarn to participate!
