Registration for the upcoming pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) school year in Bulloch County Schools will open online on Feb. 27.
Overseen by Georgia's Department for Early Care and Learning, there are 11 pre-K sites with a total of 20 classrooms, which offer space for 436 children, across the district. These lottery-funded educational programs help prepare children for kindergarten using state-approved pre-K standards and curriculum.
Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open online on Monday, Feb. 27, and will be available through March 17. Late night registration will be held on March 13, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., in the Professional Learning Lab at the school district's Central Office, located at 150 Williams Road in Statesboro.
Lottery drawings for each of the 11 pre-K sites will be held on March 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Available Pre-K classes include:
- Julia P. Bryant Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- Stilson Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- Nevils Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- Mill Creek Elementary: Three classes (66 students)
- Two classes at Mill Creek and one class at Statesboro High
- Langston Chapel Elementary: Three classes (62 students)
- Portal Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- Brooklet Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- One class at BES and one class at Southeast Bulloch High
- Mattie Lively Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
- Sallie Zetterower Elementary: Two classes (44 students)
