East Georgia Regional Medical Center provides generations of families in the Statesboro area and surrounding communities with quality care, close to home. We are dedicated to delivering technologically advanced medical attention in a respectful, caring environment. Our medical center is equipped with 149 patient rooms, all of which are private.

East Georgia Regional Medical Center features a Women’s Pavilion, an adjacent medical office building and an outpatient diagnostic imaging center. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, a distinction awarded only to those health care facilities that maintain the highest standards of quality. It was named to the Georgia Hospital Association’s Partnership for Health and Accountability Core Measures Honor Roll.

East Georgia Regional Medical Center’s health care team consists of more than 800 employees and more than 100 physicians representing a wide range of specialties. The expansion of medical services and professionals, along with major investments in technology, has firmly established EGRMC’s reputation for providing a higher medical standard.

The medical center features a 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency department, Level II neonatal center, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgical services, round-the-clock hospitalist care, same-day surgery and ambulatory care, sleep labpain management clinicwound healing center, endoscopy center, cardiac rehabilitation programcardiac catheterization lab, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation (physical therapyoccupational therapy and speech therapy), in-house dialysislaboratory servicesinterventional radiology, teleneurology, telestroke and tele-infectious disease services, and a wide spectrum of diagnostic imaging equipment.

In 2019, the American College of Cardiology recognized East Georgia Regional Medical Center for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. EGRMC was awarded Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation based on a rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

East Georgia Regional Medical Center was also awarded the title of Primary Stroke Center in 2020 by The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association.
