Installed Sales Supervisor– Exterior Renovations
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Soo Mill has been proudly serving our community for over 100 years. We provide building materials and installation services to homeowners, contractors, and businesses across the region. We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Installed Sales Manager to lead our Exterior Renovations division.
The Installed Sales Supervisor of Exterior Renovations will be responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of Installation Sales Representatives, as well as the team of Installers & Sub-trades. This role involves driving exterior renovation sales, managing customer relationships, ensuring high-quality installations, and coordinating with installers and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
This is a full-time salaried position.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following job duties:
• Performs the sale of exterior renovation product lines, including corresponding installation packages to be performed by a subtrade. This includes project management for quoting, estimating, product selection, product ordering, order fulfillment, customer support, scheduling of subtrade and overseeing the execution of the job
• Acts as the Health and Safety site manager for all Project Estimators & subtrades with health and safety related concerns on a jobsite
• Communicates the scope of work to the installation team and onsite trades, contractors or builders. Coordinates the project to fulfillment and executes the plan to customers satisfaction
• Assists in the training of new sales staff (job site safety, product knowledge, standard operating procedures)
• Assists the Retail Division for any warranty claims, customer issues, product damage and problem diagnosis related to windows, doors, roofing, siding or fencing.
• Secures special permits or certifications for job sites
• Coordinates work and scheduling for Subtrades
• Assists in selection and ordering of all exterior products for the retail store (roof maintenance, window replacements…). Provides insight to the president(s) & team members regarding the sales for Exterior Renovations and potential new avenues for revenue
• Promotes the use of the company’s other products that are associated with the building project (ex. Windows, locks, lighting, doors, etc.)
• Provides Building Code information to customers
Required Qualifications:
• Class G Drivers License – clean drivers abstract
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the building materials, hardware or home improvement sector
• Solid understanding of construction materials and (exterior) home renovation projects, as well as a good understanding of the Building Code & Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Ability to build relationships with contractors, homeowners, and vendors
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance to reflect our premium brand and provide a superior standard of service and exceptional customer experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Exquisite note taking and organizational skills, attention to detail and focus to work under pressure
• A problem solver who has the ability to devise and communicate effective solutions when required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
A valid driver’s license is required.
