rue 21, a favorite to many in the Statesboro Mall, is closing on May 31, 2024. Currently everything is 30 to 50 percent off the entire store. rue 21 is known for their teen apparel.
The company filed for bankruptcy last week and are closing all 540 stores operating in 45 states. The company currently has 4,900 employees.
This is the third time the company has filed for bankruptcy. There has not been a media release from the company and the companies website has been taken down.
The store has been in the Statesboro Mall for over a decade.
