Continuing the boom of restaurant expansions in Statesboro the local owner of Popeyes and Dunkin announced they are building new restaurants on Hwy. 80 East in front of the Bel-Air Estates subdivision beside Anderson General Store.
The owner is working with the city to finalize construction plans and hope to have the two new restaurants open first quarter of 2024. This will be the second location of Popeyes. The original location is located at 536 Fair Road. This location underwent a complete renovation earlier this year.
It will be the third location of Dunkin. The original Dunkin is also on Fair Road at 606 Fair Road. The second location is in the Walmart Supercenter at 147 Northside Drive East. This expansion will be a stand alone Dunkin and will not include a Baskin Robbins.
These restaurants will be beside a new development which will include Jim 'Nick's, Texas Roadhouse and Five Guys across from Lowe's.
Statesboro Realtor Nick Propps, owner of Statesboro Properties real estate team sold the property in August to the developer of Popeye's and Dunkin. Propps also sold the property adjacent to this property which is under development for Jim 'Nick's, Texas Roadhouse and Five Guys along with some additional retail space.
