Road crews are currently working to mill and resurface Cypress Lake Road, with the project stretching from the Register city limits to Veterans Memorial Parkway.
According to County Engineer Brad Deal, milling involves grinding off the top layer of asphalt. This phase of the process is expected to continue through Saturday, October 8, on both lanes of the roadway.
Following the completion of the milling, the road will be repaved with new asphalt. This is expected to begin early next week and will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.
Please use caution and obey all directions of the road crew when traveling this road during the work period.
This resurfacing follows the recent improvements to add a traffic light at the intersection of Cypress Lake and the bypass.
