Mr. James Roy "Buster" Wilson, Jr., age 72, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Pleasant View Nursing Center in Metter, Georgia .The Bulloch County native was the son of the late Roy and Florine Clark Wilson, Sr.
Mr. Wilson was educated in the public school system of Bulloch County and a graduate of the William James High School class of 1971. He served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in 1980.
"Buster" was a retired construction worker and had a passion for food, laughter and the love of family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Eloise Burks Wilson, brothers, Jackie Clark and Victor L. Wilson; sisters, Peggy Clark Turner, Patricia A Thomas, Helen Clark, LaBlanche Hagins and Geneva White, and a grand daughter, Corynsha Hill.
He leaves to celebrate his memories two sons, James Tyrone (Wanda) Wilson, Brain Beniman, three daughters, Shirley (Shawn) Johnson, Twania (Robbie) Hill, Jasmine (Tramaine) Vinson; grandchildren, Malcolm Wilson, Ty'Keria Huff, Temar Wilson, Ziandra Wilson, Aiysha Hill, Cory Gibson, Brian Beniman, Jr. Jeremiah Beniman and Mason Beniman; great grandchildren, Amarion Wilson, Asher Wilson, A'Nahla Wilson, Achilles Wilson, Jaiden Huff, and Makhazi Givson, Elias Clark and Kenai Robinson; three sisters, Ruby (George, deceased) Jones and Carolyn (Calvin) Mainer, both of Savannah, GA, and Jo Ann (Lee) Pollock, Miami, FL; three brothers, Ricky (Gail) Wilson, Carnell (Cynthia) Wilson, both of Statesboro, GA and Roy (Janice) Harrison, Atlanta, GA; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Wilson will be held on Friday July 11, 2025, at Hill's Mortuary, Inc., from the hours of 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.
The celebration of Life services for Mr. James Roy "Buster" Wilson, Jr., will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., Officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
