Charles "Edna" Bowen, 74, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 16, 1951, in Townsend GA, Edna dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 58 years, Ed, and their three children. Once her children were at school age, she started working at Bell crest mobile home until it shut down.
Edna's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Edna loved everyone that she encountered. Edna's love for nurturing things was evident in her beautiful roses, which she lovingly tended to, hunting, fishing, a good word search and her grandchildren. Edna was a fiery, loving, kind, and a Mama bear especially to her grandchildren.
Edna is predeceased in death by her daughter Regina Ann Bowen, her parents Charles and Edna Rowe, her brothers Fred Rowe, Charlie "Bubba" Rowe and sister Mollie Jane Rowe.
She is survived by her husband Ed Bowen of Millen, children Rebecca "Becky" Taylor (Kenneth) of Sylvania and Ed "Marty" Bowen (Jennifer) of Millen and six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, three brothers Rayford Rowe of Townsend, Tom Rowe (Connie) of Townsend, and Hank Rowe of Townsend and one sister Margaret Boings (Tom) of North Carolina several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be June 27, 2025, at Joiner Anderson Chapel with service by Rev. Butch Taylor following burial at Millen Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ronnie Newton, Chuck Richardson, Will Tyler, James Bennett, Cody Bowen, JB Armistead, Grady "Buddy" Saxon, Bobby Walker.
