Charis Nicole Thompson, age 49, passed away on Friday, June 27th 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Charis was born on September 15th 1975 in Savannah GA. She was raised in Statesboro, GA and was a 1994 graduate of Statesboro High School. Charis was known for her kindness towards others and love for her children. In her free time, she loved going to the beach and also enjoyed fishing.
Charis is survived by her mother, Paula Bohler of Statesboro, her father, Ralph P. Newton of Savannah, her children, Payton Thompson, Avery Thompson, Troy Deal, and Cree Deal, her sister and brother-in-law, Page and Chuck Standish, her significant other, Scotty Stanfield, her aunt and uncle, Dawn and Michael Page, and her cousins, Jamie Medlock and John Michael Page.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
