In recognition of World Breastfeeding Week, the Southeast Health District will host "Snug, Safe, and Supported", a special community event designed to provide education, support, and resources to new and expecting mothers. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 12, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bulloch County Health Department (1 W Altman Street, Statesboro, GA 30458).
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore programs that offer services to support both maternal and infant health, including:
- Perinatal Health Services – Help for mom and baby during and after pregnancy
- Lactation Services – Breastfeeding education and our Breastfeeding Buddy program
- Child Passenger Safety Services – Car seat checks, safety classes, and no-cost car seats for eligible families
