Senator Hickman's Senate Study Committee to hold first meeting on preservation of Georgia’s farmlands

The Senate Study Committee on the Preservation of Georgia’s Farmlands, chaired by our very own Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro), is kicking off its first meeting on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10:00 am in Statesboro. This important public meeting is about ensuring the future of our state's farmlands.

  • Tyler Harper - Commissioner of Georgia Department of Agriculture

This committee's mission is to dig into the conditions, needs, and challenges facing Georgia's farmlands and figure out what actions or legislation might be needed to preserve them.
