Community invited to A Night at the Art Museum on May 3rd at SEBMS

Southeast Bulloch MIddle hosts "A Night at the Art Museum"

Bulloch County Schools' Teacher of the Year, who is an art teacher, is hosting a free Night at the Art Museum to showcase Southeast Bulloch Middle School's fine arts students and faculty.

The gala is Saturday, May 3, from 6-8 p.m., at Southeast Bulloch Middle School. The public is invited to drop in during the evening and enjoy the festivities with our student families and faculty. An inaugural event for the school, Heather Gonzales, the school's art teacher and Bulloch County's reigning teacher of the year, has planned a red carpet experience.

"It's a time to celebrate creativity, talent, and our community," said Gonzales.

The Brooklet Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the event which will feature live performances by SEBMS's symphonic band and chorus, a gallery of visual artwork by students, fine arts awards, plus food and refreshments. An added bonus is a surprise musical set by the school's own faculty band, STING. See the complete schedule below to plan your visit so you don't miss some of the evening's key performances.

As you roam the visual arts gallery, be sure to look for the "compliment an artist” station. This is where guests can share positive comments about our student artists' techniques or how they may have been inspired by the art they've experienced.

Come as you are or dress to impress because there will be plenty of areas for photo opportunities. Walk-ins are welcome to the experience, but if you would like to R.S.V.P., visit http://bit.ly/3RG5G2B.
