The new home of the Brooklet Farmer’s Market is more than just a place to gather; it’s a space where roots run deep, stories are shared, and memories blossom.

Building on the cherished tradition of the original Market Rock Garden at the market's former location, they are proud to introduce the new Memorial Garden: a natural, living space where community members can honor and remember loved ones through hand-painted memorial rocks.

“We would love to give our community a natural place to memorialize those who have passed on, while supporting progress for the future with a personalized natural piece of hand painted art,” shared market founder Michelle Wilson. “There are so many fantastic personalities who have graced our lives and left us too soon. These Memorial Rocks help tell their stories in a heartfelt, lasting way.”

Community members are welcome to paint their own rock or bring materials to have one created for them, adding a personal touch to each tribute.

“The very first rock was dedicated to someone whose area we share and to show my respect, appreciation, and gratitude for the shared space,” Wilson added. "It's a symbol of what this garden hopes to represent: respect, community, and progress."

Wilson shares that others who would like to have their loved ones or an avid garden lover they miss memorialized will find no better way to honor them than in the middle of a farm, near a greenhouse and a farmer's market.

The purpose of this project is to fully show respect for a beautiful spirit that has passed while helping bring the Farmers Market and Community projects to fruition with kind donations for generations to come.

“We can create a personalized ‘memorial rock’ for your loved one, and choose a special spot in the garden,” shared Wilson. “For those who enjoy creating, we’ll also offer seasonal classes to paint your own tribute.”
