More Bulloch Book Bus dates added -- some with cool treats!

The Book Bus

Bulloch County Schools is rolling out its beloved Book Bus once again this summer, bringing free books and a love of reading to children across the county, and more dates have now been added. Several of the stops will also feature ice cold treats courtesy of Bulloch Solutions!

The mobile literacy initiative will make several stops throughout June and July, giving children the opportunity to board the bus and choose age-appropriate books to take home and keep—because, as the program promises, "adventure, fun, and friends are waiting on every page."

Every bus stop on the list is open and welcoming to ALL children. Books are available for younger readers as well as teens.

Launched in May 2019, the Book Bus was created to ensure that all children in the community have access to books in a fun, inviting way. Since its launch, the Book Bus has helped distribute more than 40,000 books, thanks to strong community support and local partnerships.

By promoting reading during the summer months, the program aims to help children retain literacy skills while also building a positive relationship with books and learning. If you would like to donate new or used books for the bus, you can stop by the Bulloch County Board of Education office located at 150 Williams Rd. in Statesboro.
