DPH Reporting Positive COVID-19 in a Statesboro Long-Term Care Facility

Bulloch County Public Safety Director, Ted Wynn, confirmed that Heritage Inn Health And Rehabilitation on Jones Mill Road and Eagle Health and Rehab on South College Street had requested assistance from the Georgia National Guard to deep clean their facilities.  Both nursing homes are owned by Ethica, Inc.  Wynn said that these were voluntary requests.  The Georgia National Guard has been offering disinfecting and training services statewide for a couple of weeks.  Since beginning, they have cleaned over 200 long-term care facilities.

All local long-term care facilities are eligible to receive this assistance from the Georgia National Guard.  To learn more about receiving this assistance, long-term operators can reach Wynn at (912) 489-1661, then press 9.
