Statesboro Lady Devils shine in region tennis

The Lady Devils of Statesboro and the all region team were well represented in this year’s Region 1AAAAA.   

"The region was one of the toughest in the state, as it placed two teams in the Sweet 16 and two teams in the Elite 8," said Brian Hall, Statesboro High School tennis coach.

Naomi Feltman was named first team all region at second singles for the second year in a row, as she hasn't dropped a region match in her first two years.  

Julia Basquin was named the Regions Player of the Year for the third year in a row and did not drop a region match in her high school career. 

Jolee Jordan was named first team all region at first doubles. Jordan has been first team all region for three years now and hasn't dropped a match in region play.  

Ada Lacienski was named first team all region at second doubles, as she didn't drop a match this year in region.  

Lindsay Collins was named first team all region at second doubles, as she also didn't drop a match during region play.  

Maggie Proctor (not pictured) was named first team all region at first doubles for the second year in a row, as she didn't drop a region match this year.
