Georgia Southern University has introduced its 2025–26 Erk Russell Fund (ERF) membership license plate, paying tribute to the school's longtime mascot, “Freedom,” and recognizing his enduring impact on the Eagle family.
Available exclusively to ERF members, the commemorative plate features a design inspired by Freedom’s legacy and symbolically underscores the importance of giving back to the university’s athletic and scholarship initiatives. All current ERF members will automatically receive the plate as part of their annual benefits package, which is scheduled to ship in August 2025.
Prospective members still have time to secure this year’s edition: ERF membership begins at $60 and must be completed by June 30, 2025. New members who join by that deadline will receive the limited-edition plate along with the standard suite of ERF benefits—ranging from priority event seating to exclusive fundraising updates.
Those interested in joining can sign up online through the ERF membership portal.
The annual ERF plate not only serves as a token of appreciation for fund supporters but also raises awareness of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance athletic programs and student experiences. By celebrating Freedom’s impact on Georgia Southern’s community, the 2025–26 plate underscores the fund’s mission to promote excellence both on and off the field.
