Five Eagles named track & field/cross country CSC Academic All-District

All five student-athletes will advance to national balloting for possible Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on June 28. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District At-Large honors, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA at her institution. Each school is allowed five honorees for the all-district team based on academic and athletic merit.

Hillmer posted the program's 10th-best score in the heptathlon (3979) at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship and took third in the event at the Spec Towns – Torrin Lawrence Invitational. The junior is a six-time selection to the Georgia Southern President's List (4.0 GPA), a two-time member of the Sun Belt Commissioner's List and carries a 4.0 grade point average in art.

Holbrook recorded two top-5 finishes in the hammer throw in the outdoor season and three top-8 finishes in the weight throw in the indoor season. The junior was named to the Georgia Southern Dean's List in the spring and fall and carries a 3.71 grade point average in exercise science.

A second-team Indoor All-Sun Belt selection and third-team Outdoor All-SBC honoree, Imani Moore finished second in the long jump at the league's outdoor championship (5.99m) and third in the long jump at the indoor championship (6.06m). The sophomore has a 4.0 grade point average in interior design, is a four-time selection to the GS President's List and a 2021-22 selection to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List.

Na'ilah Moore posted the seventh-best triple jump mark in program history (12.97) to win the event at the Spec Towns Lawrence Invitational and added a fifth-place finish in the long jump. She took fourth in the long jump and triple jump at the Samford Bulldog Open. The graduate student was named to the GS Dean's List in the fall and spring, is a three-time selection to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List and carries a 3.67 grade point average while working towards a master's in professional communication and leadership.

Reyna-Lopez carries a 3.88 grade point average and is working towards a master's degree in psychology. The graduate student finished fourth in the 1500 at the Georgia Southern Classic and posted the program's eighth-fastest time in the 10K at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship (41:27.13).
