Mother Robbie Lee Rock, age 91, entered rest Friday, February 2, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late Robert Moffet and Queenester Mikell.
She received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the usher board until her health failed her.
Mrs. Rock was a retired employee of Georgia Southern University and was known for her love of baking cakes and pies.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jake Rock, Jr., three sons, Willie Joe Prescott, Johnny Prescott, and Lavon Prescott; three stepsons, James Willie “Big Boy” Rock, Willie James “Bit” Rock and Isaiah Rock; two daughters, Annette Perkins and Margo Ann Littles, and one stepdaughter, Daisy Mae Rock.
She is survived by her five daughters, Lashion Detra Rock and Annie Bell Rock both of Register Georgia, Mae Helen Williams, Claxton Georgia, Louella (Richard) Williams, Statesboro Georgia, and Easter Lou Brinson, York Pennsylvania; six sons, Marvin Lee (Shirley) Prescott Sr., Portal, Georgia, Jerry (Ida Bell) Prescott Sr., Statesboro Georgia, Aundrea (Latunya) Rock, Milner Georgia, Jake (Carolyn) Kennedy Rock, Guyton Georgia, Charles Edward (Annette) Rock Sr., Statesboro Georgia, Gregory Lee (Tomeka) Rock Sr., Metter Georgia; four sisters, Nellie Mae Mikell, Della Mae Mikell, Barbara Ann Mikell and Maxine Mikell; one brother, James Mikell, three sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Mikell, Martha Rock-Fleming, Annie Lee Mikell; 47 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mrs. Rock will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the funeral home.
The funeral service for Mother Robbie Lee Rock will be held, 11 am, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Agape Worship Center, with the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
