Mary T. "Liz" Evans

May 11, 2022 - September 2, 2022

Mrs. Mary T. “Liz” Evans, made her transition from her earthly home to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 2, 2022, at Brown’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was a native of Screven County and attended the public schools of Bulloch County and later earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ogeechee Technical College (formerly Ogeechee Technical Institute).  She was an LPN and last employed with The Place at Pooler.  She was a member of Scott’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by, two daughters, Latasha Thomas and Kamilah Eason-Price both of Statesboro; two sisters, Wanda Littles, Statesboro and Deborah Pierce, Richmond Virginia; two brothers, Reginald Pierce, Atlanta and Scottie Robertson, Statesboro; four aunts, Debra Lee (Cerron) Sylvania, Faye Coles, Savannah, Cynthia Taylor, Statesboro and Jeanette Perkins, Rincon; two uncles, Eugene Pierce, Sylvania and Linzie  Pierce, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 2 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Evans will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Historical First African Baptist Church with the Reverend Sarah Prince, eulogist and the pastor, Reverend James Howard, presiding.  Interment will be in the Rehovia Baptist Church Cemetery.

There will be a walk through visitation on Friday , September 9 2022 from 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Please keep in mind the COVID 19 mandates when attending either of these services.
