Ms. Marquita Denise Wiggins, age 38, entered into rest, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
The Bulloch County native received her formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a graduate of Portal High School class of 2003, where she excelled in basketball and track and field.
She was employed by Walmart Distribution until her health failed.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lue Helen Wiggins and her paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Huff.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Raheem K. Wiggins, Willie E. Jones IV and Malasia D. Jones; all of Statesboro, GA; a grandson, Rylin A’mir Wiggins, Statesboro, GA; her mother Melissa Wiggins, Statesboro, GA; her father, Otis Huff; Statesboro, GA; brothers, Demetrius Wiggins, Travis Wiggins and Reuben Wiggins; her niece, Denali Wiggins, a nephew, Elisha Wiggins. A special friend, Ronald Osborne; her children’s father, Willie E. Jones, III., a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Ms. Wiggins will be held, 4 pm to 7 pm, Friday, February 17, 2023, at the funeral home.
The funeral service for Marquita D. Wiggins, will be held, 2 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Timotheus Mincey, officiating. Burial will be in the Lee-Hodge Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
