Mrs. Lillie “June” Hayes Sowell, age 72, died on Sunday, April 30th 2023 at her home in Twin City, GA. June was born on April 7th 1951 in Dillon County, SC to the late Ernest Hardwick and Virginia Jackson Hardwick. June was a cosmetologist for many years, owning and operating Shear Perfection until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her former husbands, Danny Sowell and Gene Hayes, a granddaughter, Raven Hayes, and a brother, Mark Hayes.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Kim Hayes and Ashley and Jessica Hayes, her daughter, Danielle Sowell, her grandchildren, Dillon (Brandie) Hayes, Cady Hayes, Tori Hayes, Mark Hayes, John (Abby) Hayes, Austin Hayes, MacKayla Hayes, Ciera Jenkins, and Cail Jenkins, her great-grandchildren, Braydon Hayes, Kay’lea Roberson, Timothy Hayes, Zhavia Roberson, and Giada Rigdon, two sisters, Vickie (Brian) Arnett and Wanda Hardwick, three brothers, Ernie (Vikie) Hardwick, Todd Hardwick, and Tim Hardwick, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
