Mr. Kenneth Hendrix was born on November 23, 1957, at the Evans County Hospital in Claxton, GA.
He was the fifth child born to Bernard Hendrix, Sr. and Laura Hendrix. At the age of 67, he made his transition into eternal rest on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
He was educated in the Bulloch County School System and served his country in the United States Army.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Hendrix, Sr., his stepfather, Elbert Chappel, and his mother Laura Taylor Hendrix Chappel. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Taylor, Sr., Charles W. Hendrix, and two sisters-in-law, Wanda L. Hendrix, and Patty M. Hendrix.
Kenneth leaves his memories to be cherished by his brothers, Bernard Hendrix, Jr., and Carl Hendrix, a sister, Gertrude (Joe) LeGree, Sr., and a stepbrother, Michael (Genevieve) Chappel, and a sister-in-law, Alice m. Taylor. He also leaves his memories to be cherished by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Public viewing for Mr. Hendrix will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Mt. Olive Lane, Statesboro, GA 30458 with Pastor, Rev. Matthew Lovett, officiating and Rev. Shad Woods, presiding.
Burial will follow at the Eastside Cemetery, Northside Drive, Statesboro.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
